Climax Collective interrogates what it actually means for a educational institutions to claim "Carbon neutral by 2025". It maps published data against the Carbon Law & Project Drawdown Solutions + traces against 5 structural pillars as defined by The Experiential Playbook. Further, it doesn’t stop at auditing but strategises a recommendation engine which pushes the narrative from passive reading to active auditing. The goal was to build a Radical Accountability Platform that strips away the fluff and audits institutions. To reduce the gap between preach + praxis.

This website proposal was designed after deep research in the baselines that are used to map climate health goals.

THE RECOMMENDATION LOGIC ENGINE

Identify the Gap: Compares the current state from the published institutional Audit against the Carbon Law requirement.
Select the Solution: Queries the Knowledge Graph for the Project Drawdown solution that addresses the specific gap (e.g., if Scope 1 is high and they have a steam plant, the recommendation is "Electrified District Heating").
Calculate Impact: Estimate the MT CO2e reduction if the solution is implemented.
Draft Action: Generate a specific, time-bound recommendation (e.g., "Phase out gas boilers by 2028 to align with the 1.5°C pathway").
Follow steps for 1 institute as proof of concept: UC Berkeley because they have a considerably known, established sustainability initiative and is a R1 institute.

THE CARBON LAW: This project follows the updated 2025 Swedish nonprofit, Klimatkollen, which proposes that the world must halve emissions every five years. This is a pace equivalent to emission cuts of around 12% per year to meet Paris Agreement targets starting in 2025.
